The 4W solar power module is a complete power solution for the outdoor operation of a Meshtastic node without the need for a mains connection. A monocrystalline solar panel with 22.1% efficiency charges four 18650 batteries, which serve as a backup source and ensure the continuous operation of the node at night and under poor light conditions. With a connected device power consumption of up to 0.45 W, the module can power the node continuously 24/7. The robust plastic construction with an integrated space for a development board (RAK4631 or Heltec) and an SMA connector for the antenna creates a ready-made outdoor node – simply add the board and batteries. Using the included swivel bracket, the module can be easily mounted to a wall or mast and the panel angled towards the sun.
