Need to monitor the engine speed or find out the rotation speed of a piece of equipment? This optical speed sensor with a 10 mm gap is a reliable partner for any DIY or robotic project.
You put a disc with holes or teeth between the two arms of the sensor. When an object interrupts the IR beam between the transmitter and receiver, the output changes state. This allows you to accurately count the revolutions or determine the speed.
Specifications:
