Need to monitor the engine speed or find out the rotation speed of a piece of equipment? This optical speed sensor with a 5mm gap is a reliable partner for any DIY or robotics project.

You put a disc with holes or teeth between the two arms of the sensor. When an object interrupts the IR beam between the transmitter and receiver, the output changes state. This allows you to accurately count the revolutions or determine the speed.

Při měření otáček pomocí lamel kulisy na motorku je maximální frekvence změn cca 600 Hz, což při 6 lamelách na otáčku odpovídá max. měřené rychlosti cca 6000 ot/min. Pak je frekvence signálu neměřitelná - asi velké zkreslení. I při nižších otáčkách je měření frekvence poměrně nestabilní s výkyvem až 10 %. Kvalita digitálného výstupu nezjištěna - nemám osciloskop
