Minimum discharge voltage for LIR2450 Li-Ion battery:

• Safe values:
  • Absolute minimum voltage: 2,5 V
  • Recommended minimum voltage: 2.75-3.0 V (for long life)
• Why not exceed the lower limit?
  • Voltages below 2.5 V can cause permanent damage to the cell.
  • Deep discharge can lead to inflation or destruction of the cell.
  • The LIR2032 does not have an integrated protection circuit (BMS), so the protection must be external.
• Recommendation:
  • Use a BMS or undervoltage protection circuit.
  • In the design of the device, ensure that the voltage never drops below 2.75 V.
  • If you are using a microcontroller, set up voltage monitoring in the software.
