This PWM PC fan speed controller with thermometer and display offers a simple way to efficiently manage cooling in your computer or other electronic projects. It allows smooth adjustment of the fan speed while providing an instant overview of the temperature via a digital display. Suitable for PC modding, DIY projects and industrial applications.

Instructions for using the PWM fan controller with display and temperature sensor:

This controller allows both manual and automatic control of PC fan speed based on the measured temperature. Thanks to the built-in display and indicators, you can monitor the current speed, temperature and fan status. It supports 2-pin, 3-pin and 4-pin fans and operates in the 8–16 V DC power range.

Connection:

  • Power supply: Connect DC 12 V (range 8–16 V) to the appropriate terminals (+ and −).
  • Fan: Connect to the fan output connector (max. 3.3 A).
  • Temperature sensor: Plug into the sensor connector – it senses the ambient temperature and is used for automatic regulation.

Button description:

  • "+" and "−": Switching between displayed data in normal mode and changing values when setting parameters (when held down, the value changes smoothly).
  • "OK":
    1. Short press in running mode – manual fan speed setting (1–100 %), the setting is saved with another press.
    2. Long press in running mode – setting temperature parameters. "+" and "−" change values, "OK" switches between:
      • L** – start temperature
      • H** – full speed temperature
      • C** – shutdown temperature
      Short press "OK" after setting all parameters saves the changes.
    3. When switching on the controller with the "OK" button held down – enter the functional setting of the PWM output direction:
      • P1 – standard mode
      • P-1 – opposite signal
      Confirmation with a short press of "OK".

Detailed description of temperature parameters:

  • L** (5–94 °C): The temperature at which the fan starts to gradually increase its speed.
  • H** (10–99 °C): Temperature at which the fan reaches 100% and runs at full speed.
  • C** (0–92 °C): Temperature for shutdown at low temperature. A value >0 activates the shutdown function – the fan stops if the temperature is below this limit and restarts when it exceeds L**. If the value is 0, the function is deactivated.

Warning: The difference between H** and L** must be at least 5 °C and the difference between L** and C** at least 2 °C. If these limits are violated during setup, the controller automatically adjusts the other values.

Display functions and LED indicators:

  • Three-digit display: Displays speed (×10), current temperature or set values.
  • LED “X10 RPM”: When lit, the display shows the fan speed (256 = 2560 rpm).
  • LED “C”: When lit, the display shows the current temperature.
  • LED “RUN”: Lights up when the fan is on, turns off when the fan is off.

Výborný produkt. Využil jsem jej pro vhánění teplého vzduchu do místnosti o patro výše. Použito P-1. Na printables je dostupná krabička. Rozhodně doporučuji koupit.

Zdravím, vzhledem k tomu, že se moc 24v PC ventiátorů neprodává, chtěl bych se zeptat na užití s 12v větráky. Pokud mám na vstupu 12v, na výstupu by při maximálních otáčkách mělo také být 12v, ne? Nebo pokud tam bude těch max. 16v, utáhnou mi to klasické ventilátory?

Dobrý den, některé PC ventilátory mají max. pracovní napětí kolem 16V, ale ne všechny. Je potřeba se podívat na individuální datasheety, nebo využít jakýkoliv 24V ventilátor.
