The brass injector with interchangeable tips is used for installing threaded heat-set inserts into 3D prints and other fusible plastics. The injector is shaped like a standard 900M soldering tip, so you simply replace the tip on your soldering iron and screw on the attachment matching the insert size. Insert the heated injector into the insert, place it over the hole in the print, and press perpendicularly into the plastic until it reaches the edge – this creates a strong metal thread that withstands repeated assembly and a much higher torque than threads cut directly into plastic. The set covers sizes M2 to M8, so you only need one tool for all common screws. An essential item for anyone printing functional parts, boxes, and brackets that need to be disassembled.

Note:

• The soldering iron and threaded inserts are not included in the package.
• Only change the tip and attachments when the soldering iron is cold and disconnected from the mains to avoid burns.
• Tighten the tips onto the injector by hand only and gently; never use pliers.
• Insert the insert straight in line with the axis of the hole; do not rock or rotate it. Withdraw the injector immediately after pressing.
