Product detailed description

The breakout module with the MAX232 circuit is used for bidirectional conversion between UART serial communication and the RS-232 standard. The RS-232 protocol is full-duplex – data can be sent and received simultaneously – and due to transmission voltages of +3 to +15 V (log. 1) and −3 to −15 V (log. 0), it is significantly more resistant to interference. For this reason, it is still widely used in industry today. With this module, you can easily connect a microcontroller to industrial equipment, measuring instruments, or legacy technology.
