The TFMini by Benewake is a miniature single-point laser rangefinder (micro LiDAR) operating on the ToF (Time of Flight) principle. It measures distances from 0.3 to 12 metres at a frequency of up to 100 Hz, and thanks to its small dimensions, low power consumption and simple UART communication, it is ideal for drones (altitude hold, terrain following), robotics, obstacle detection or security sensors. The module has a narrow sensing angle of just 2.3°, allowing it to accurately target even smaller objects. The serial line operates with 3.3V logic, meaning the module can be connected directly to Arduino, ESP32 or Raspberry Pi.
