Varistor 10D561K is a passive component designed to protect electronic circuits from surge peaks. When a certain voltage is exceeded, it significantly reduces its resistance and thus diverts the excessive voltage away from the protected circuit. It is used in power supplies, mains filters, switching power supplies, or as protection for relays and motors.
