The intake filter with mesh is fitted onto the end of the pump's suction hose to prevent it from drawing in leaves, sand, algae, or other impurities. It is suitable for small water pumps, diaphragm pumps, washers and sprayers, automatic irrigation systems, as well as aquariums and rainwater butts. The cylindrical body with a fine mesh is simply pushed onto the hose and submerged in the tank. It is available in three sizes depending on the diameter of the barb to which the hose is attached.
