On motor it is written U:12V/24V. Does it mean that it works on 24 Volts as well? I try to run it using the motor shield using this tutorial https://lastminuteengineers.com/l293d-motor-driver-shield-arduino-tutorial/ I used 12V volts power supply fom battery but it seems like the current is getting too high. Motor doues not run and the shield is overheated... Is there a solution?

Hi, The wires color can be different, you should find the right coils with ohmmetr. Also it is not good to using this kind drivers with NEMA 17 size stepper motor. Use A4988 or DRV8825 drivers.
