This cute tutorial focuses on the popular open source platform - Arduino. With this kit you can learn how to operate the servo motors and the ultrasonic distance meter module.
It is a new mobile robot named SLOTH developed by the SunFounder team. Each leg has 2 joints driven by a servo motor. The robot is powered by a 9V rechargeable lithium battery and the Arduino Nano development board is used as the control board. The kit contains a specially designed base plate into which the Arduino Nano development board is inserted and servo motors and the HC-SR04 ultrasonic measuring module are connected to the prepared connectors. The board also contains circuits and connectors to power the entire structure. SLOTH can move forward and if it detects an obstacle it will avoid it.
In addition to learning how to program, you'll also have fun by building a pretty cool biorobot yourself.

With visual programming, you can easily change the position of the servo motors to let SLOTH do multiple actions.

The ultrasonic "Eyes" can intelligently avoid obstacles.
