TCS34725 is a digital colour and light intensity sensor from ams (formerly TAOS) with an integrated IR filter and I2C interface. The chip contains an array of four photodiodes with spectral filters for red, green, blue and clear (unfiltered) light – each channel is converted by a 16-bit ADC. The integrated IR filter ensures accurate colour measurement without distortion from infrared radiation in the ambient light. The sensor is suitable for colour detection and sorting, display backlight control, liquid analysis or LED lighting calibration in projects with Arduino and ESP32.
