The single-channel relay module from Soldered Electronics allows you to switch mains voltage appliances or higher DC currents directly from a microcontroller. The installed Songle SRD-05VDC-SL-C relay features a changeover contact and can handle up to 250 V / 10 A AC or 30 V / 10 A DC, providing galvanic isolation between the switched circuit and the control electronics. You can connect the module with a single cable via the μSup connector (Qwiic, easyC, STEMMA QT) and control it via the I2C bus – the second connector is used to daisy-chain additional modules. The address is selected via the ADDR DIP switch directly on the board, allowing up to eight relay modules to operate on a single line simultaneously. It is ideal for home automation, switching lighting, pumps, valves, or heating.

Important Notice and Safety:

• The module can switch 230 V mains voltage, which is dangerous to life. Mains connection must only be carried out by a person with the appropriate qualifications in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Always disconnect the circuit from the power supply and verify that it is voltage-free before any manipulation of the wiring.
• Place the power section (terminal block and leads) in a suitable enclosure so that they are not accessible to touch, and maintain sufficient distance from the low-voltage section.
• Do not exceed the specified maximum current and voltage values. For inductive loads (motors, pumps, contactors), expect a lower actual contact load capacity.
• The NC contact is closed in the idle state – in the event of a power failure or microcontroller restart, the load on NC will remain energised. Choose your wiring so that the default state is safe.
