The GY-61 module with the ADXL335 accelerometer from Analog Devices enables acceleration measurement across three axes (X, Y, Z) with an analogue output for each axis. With a range of ±3 g, it is suitable for tilt measurement, motion detection, vibration, or shock detection. The analogue outputs can be connected directly to a microcontroller's A/D converter, making the module ideal for simple Arduino projects without the need for communication buses. The board features its own voltage regulator, allowing the module to be powered directly from both 5V and 3.3V logic.
