Good Display GDEH0576T81 electronic paper display with a 5.76" diagonal, 920×680 pixel resolution, SPI interface, and E Ink Carta HD panel for a sharp monochrome image. With a pixel density of 198 PPI, the text is as readable as in a printed book, making the display ideal for developing custom e-readers, as well as information panels, name tags, or displaying sensor data. Full refresh takes only 0.75 s and partial refresh takes 0.3 s. The image you display lasts indefinitely without power – simply show the image and then turn off the power; the content will remain on the display. The display is therefore ideal for low-power devices powered by solar sources or batteries.

E-Ink (or E-Paper) is a so-called electrophoretic display, i.e., a display containing white particles in microcapsules dispersed in a thin layer of dark viscous solution. By applying a short pulse, the white particles move towards the front of the display and the pixel appears white; a pulse of opposite polarity makes the pixel appear black. The high viscosity of the solution causes the particles to remain in their position practically permanently. The display is purely reflective, emits no blue light, and is read similarly to paper.
