Product detailed description

The Keyes KY-003 module is a digital Hall effect sensor designed for non-contact magnetic field detection. It uses the A3144 circuit (or compatible), which pulls the output to logical 0 when a magnet is brought close – otherwise, the output remains at logical 1. The module is suitable for position detection, rotation (encoders, flow meters), or as a simple non-contact switch in projects with Arduino or ESP32.

Specifications:

  • Sensor Type: digital Hall effect sensor (A3144 or compatible)
  • Power supply: 5 V DC
  • Output: digital (LOW when a magnetic field is detected, HIGH at rest)
  • Sensitivity: responds to the south pole of a magnet brought close to the front side of the sensor

  • Indication: an LED on the module signals the detection of a magnetic field
  • Compatibility: Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and other microcontrollers with a digital input
