Product detailed description
ePaper displays are gaining incredible popularity and it's no wonder. Above all, the very low power consumption and wide viewing angle make the ePaper so popular. But what does this display drive? That's why we designed ESPink. Large memory, low power consumption, easy connection of I2C sensors and a large community of basters around ESP32.
On the board you will of course find a connector for ePaper displays. Sometimes also called Eink. The display itself is very power efficient, but it still draws some uA even outside the transcription phase. We wanted to prevent even such consumption, so we added a stabiliser to the power supply that switches the power supply. This stabiliser is switched on GPIO47, and the ePaper power supply is connected when GPIO47 is set to HIGH.
The board can be powered by a lipol battery and this is charged from the USB-C connector. Of course, you can also measure the voltage on the battery thanks to the integrated voltage divider and applied to GPIO9.
Connecting sensors has never been easier and safer. No malfunctioning sensors caused by overfiring. Thanks to our μŠup connector, which includes a sensor lock, you can easily connect. Sensors with a μSup connector include the LaskaKit SHT40 Air Temperature and Humidity Sensor or the LaskaKit SCD41 CO2, Temperature and Humidity Sensor.
Unlike the first units sold, the currently sold boards have displays made by GoodDisplay and may not work when used with ESPHome. Apparently there is currently no support in ESPHome for these new displays. The original displays from Waveshare are no longer produced, so only GoodDisplay displays will be available.
There are also plenty of GPIOs to plug in whatever you need.
