The ENC28J60 is a standalone 10BASE-T Ethernet module with MAC and PHY, 8 Kbytes of RAM, and an SPI serial interface for 3.3V and 5V logic. The target applications are VoIP, Industrial Automation, Building Automation, Home Control and Security.

It's a Shield that you put directly on the Arduino Nano,
