TM-Q2 QR Code and RFID Card Reader EM 125 kHz for 86×86mm Installation Box, Wiegand/TTL/RS232/RS485, Black
Code: LA162094B

Product detailed description
The TM-Q2 reader combines a QR and barcode scanner with an EM 125 kHz RFID card reader and is designed for mounting in a standard 86 × 86 mm installation box. It reads codes from paper as well as phone displays, and handles contactless cards or fobs just as effectively, allowing you to cover both code-based and traditional chip entries with a single device. Data is transmitted via Wiegand, TTL UART, RS232, or RS485, meaning it can be connected to virtually any door controller, turnstile, or barrier; it can also be connected directly to a computer via USB-C for configuration. Scanning is triggered automatically; the reader features its own LED illumination and confirms successful scanning with a beep and a coloured LED.

Data output and configuration:
- TTL and RS232: directly sends the scanned code text or card number. Optional termination character: none, CR (0x0D), LF (0x0A), CR+LF (0x0D0A) or TAB.
- Serial link speed: 300 to 115 200 Bd, default 115 200 Bd
- USB:
- HID: the reader behaves as a keyboard and "types" the scanned code directly into any application
- VCP: virtual serial port
- RS485:
- PLAIN: plain code text
- Modbus RTU: frame FEEF + data length + BAAB + device address + data + CRC16-Modbus, address 0–255. The protocol also supports querying the availability of devices on the bus.
- Wiegand:
- Wiegand 26 / 34: the last 10 digits of the code are taken and converted into a 3-byte (W26) or 4-byte (W34) number
- Wiegand 256: sends the entire content of the code in hexadecimal form
- Card number format: decimal or hexadecimal, with optional reversed byte order and zero-padding to 10 digits
- Settings: all parameters can be configured by scanning the configuration QR codes from the included manual – interface, speed, buzzer, illumination, read repeat interval, and factory reset
Package contents:
- 1× TM-Q2 reader, Black
- 1× USB-A / USB-C cable, 1 m length
Note:
- This variant reads ID cards (EM 125 kHz). It does not read Mifare 13.56 MHz cards – the IC variant is intended for them.
- The reader is designed for indoor environments and is not waterproof.
- 12 V power supply is not included in the package.
- This product is not a standalone functional unit and may require professional installation.
- Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may sometimes differ from the actual appearance of the item. However, this does not change their basic properties.
