The Good Display GDEM0154F61H electronic paper display features a 1.54" diagonal with a resolution of 200×200 pixels, an SPI interface and support for 4 colours: black, white, yellow and red. With a pixel density of 188 PPI, the image remains sharp even on a small area, and the fast refresh rate takes only 12 s, which is very short for four-colour ePaper displays. The image you display lasts indefinitely without power – simply show the image and then turn off the power; the content will remain on the display. The display is therefore ideal for low-power devices powered by solar sources or batteries, such as electronic shelf labels, name tags, or small information panels.

E-Ink (or E-Paper) is a so-called electrophoretic display, i.e., a display containing particles in microcapsules dispersed in a thin layer of viscous solution. By applying a short pulse, the particles move towards the front of the display and the pixel changes colour. The high viscosity of the solution causes the particles to remain in their position practically permanently.
