Modules such as ESP32 or ESP8266 equipped with powerful microcontrollers deliver up to a hundred times more performance than the standard Arduino UNO. Nowadays, these are cost-effective and simplified systems based on chips with WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity options. Therefore, it can be said that ESP32 or ESP8266 development boards can be used similarly to Arduino providing additional features.
