The WisBlock Meshtastic Starter Kit is a kit including a motherboard with 868MHz wireless communication capability, ideal for creating mesh networks. It combines the RAK19007 base board and the WisBlock Core RAK4631 processor module with an nRF52840 chip and SX1262 LoRa transceiver, so that after flashing the Meshtastic firmware, you obtain a full-fledged decentralised network node without the need for mobile signal or internet. Nodes relay text messages and location data to each other over distances ranging from a few to tens of kilometres and, thanks to very low power consumption, can run on battery for many weeks. Additionally, the WisBlock modular system allows the kit to be expanded with sensors or IO modules at any time without soldering.

Note:

• Always connect the antenna before first power-up – transmitting without an antenna can damage the LoRa chip.
• According to the manufacturer, the solar input (JST-ZH-2) supports a maximum of 5.5 V, including open-circuit voltage – our 5V panels have an open-circuit voltage of 6.1 V, so do not connect them directly to the board. Charge via USB-C, or add a regulator to the solar panel to limit it to max. 5.5 V.
• Meshtastic firmware is not pre-installed; you can flash it yourself via USB (web flasher or Meshtastic CLI).
• This product is not a standalone functional unit and may require professional installation.
